Printed circuit board assembly, also called PCBA, is the process of soldering or assembly of electronic parts to a PCB. A circuit board ahead of assemblage of electronic parts is named a PCB. Surface Mount Technology or SMT is a circuit card assemblage process for SMD (Surface Mount Device) parts. SMD components do not have leads and legs. They’re attached to the surface of the circuit board. The machines, components and other soldering material used in this assemblage procedure is unique from thru-hole soldering process.
